OUR HISTORY

Launched in 1989, Panther Logistics offered a general haulage service for more than two decades.

But in 2011, after identifying a gap in the market, the company dispensed with its offering to focus on one key area – two-person delivery of furniture and other heavy items.

It was a bold move into new territory – but a golden opportunity for Panther.

It wasn’t long before the Panther name was known for its dedicated premium, next-day, white-glove, service which changed the face of two-person delivery, and still continues to raise the bar today.

The Panther difference enabled consumers to order anything from bed to a kitchen or bathroom suite online and receive them the next day.

Panther customers were reaping the rewards as the service helped them to improve their offering, win sales from their competitors, grow their businesses and build their reputations.

Panther’s ground breaking service revolutionised the industry, but not a company to rest on its laurels, it continued to push the boundaries to bring the immediacy of high street shopping to the internet.

OUR GROWTH

Until the launch of its two-man delivery service, Panther operated out of just one depot in Northamptonshire, at the heart of the UK’s motorway network.

But with the success of two-man delivery the company enjoyed exponential growth, with a string of household names signing up to take advantage of the Panther offering.

Amazon, Wayfair, Silentnight, Dunelm, Asda, Samsung and LG are among many customers benefiting from the Panther difference.

These and other customers are served by Panther’s 460-strong workforce operating out of a national network of nine locations.

In November 2020 Panther Warehousing was acquired by US-based AIT Worldwide Logistics which will provide an exciting roadmap for Panther’s future direction and places the company in a perfect position to consolidate its growth and expansion with the support management team which remains focused on continuing to deliver the best-in-class service for which Panther is renowned.

OUR VISION

Panther today is steered by a senior management team whose collective experience in the industry exceeds 100 years.

Over the past 11 years, the ability to pre-empt customer needs and develop a service which brings the immediacy of the high street to online retail has enabled Panther to change the face of not only its own business but the whole of two-person delivery.

In its ongoing pursuit of excellence, Panther continues to invest heavily in its operations to maintain the consistently high standards that are now synonymous with the Panther name.

The environment and the desire to move to a zero-waste culture is at the heart of Panther operations.

Ever mindful of the need to provide a green, ethical service Panther’s activity includes working directly with metal recycling expert EMR, operating substantial ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling activities, maximising recycling rates and operating an ethical and responsible work culture.
