Panther Group Wins Three Year Contract Extension With Silentnight

Panther's White Glove Delivery

Panther Warehousing has had its long-standing partnership with UK mattress manufacturer, Silentnight extended for another three years.

Having provided exceptional service for over six years, the specialist two-man, white-glove carrier is set to continue its role as the primary delivery provider for Silentnight’s direct home deliveries, handling over 1000 orders per week.

Silentnight, one of the UK’s most trusted brands, has been manufacturing mattresses for more than 70 years. All its mattresses, upholstered bases and headboards are hand crafted at its base in Lancashire, UK.

The UK mattress manufacturer, which has been using Panther for two-man deliveries, will be continuing to provide next day and nominated day deliveries for their customers. Panther will continue to deliver to a room of choice and will ensure that all packaging is removed and product assembled and where required, the old mattress or bed is taken away for recycling – ensuring that not only is customer disruption kept to a minimum, but the entire changeover is totally seamless.

Gary McKelvey, Commercial Director of Panther Warehousing commented:

“We are delighted to continue our close relationship which has been developed over the past six years now and to continue to deliver high levels of service to Silentnight customers.

“For Panther, customer experience is paramount and we aim to make delivery as easy and convenient as possible for our customers and – most importantly – for their customers.

“It is a partnership that has an ethos of continually reviewing and improving services and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship for the next three years.”

Matthew Thomlinson, Customer Services and 3PL Manager at Silentnight Group said:

“We continually aim to provide all of our customers with industry leading delivery options and flexibility, as our products start their journey from our factories, right to the point of delivery to our customers. This is why we have taken the decision to continue our ever-successful relationship with Panther.

“Panther’s unique ethos of ‘if it doesn’t currently exist in our industry, let’s find a way to make it happen’, is one that sets them apart from its competitors and is something of a rarity within its sector. Never have I come across another company who continually strive to meet our demands for enhanced delivery options and solutions.”

Northamptonshire-based Panther has rapidly expanded in recent years as clients have reaped the commercial benefit of being able to offer their own customers flexible deliveries, including seven-day-a-week delivery and two-hour delivery slots.

Such is its success that for two years running it has previously appeared in both the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and the London Stock Exchange list of Top 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain. Panther was also named by the FT as one of Europe’s Top 1,000 Fastest Growing Companies.
