In 2010 Panther Warehousing changed its business model to focus on one niche area - next day white glove two man delivery.  The offering was like no other and set a new benchmark for the industry. Panther quickly established a reputation as a market trailblazer with the business each year continuing to develop its service offering to ensure it stays ahead of the market.

  • 1989

    Panther Group founded as a freight forwarder by Wilson Barrett.

  • 2008

    Panther Group enters into a CVA following the 2008 recession.

  • 2010

    Colin McCarthy appointed as a consultant and develops the 2-man delivery specialist offering.

  • 2011

    Panther changes its identity to become a dedicated 2-man delivery specialist.

  • 2012

    Strategic recruitment of Colin McCarthy as a full-time Managing Director.

  • 2013

    Acquisition of Hi-Way, adding £3.6m of revenue.

    Opening of the Taunton, Leeds and Peterlee depots.

  • 2014

    New Northampton HQ.

  • 2015

    Opening of the Bristol depot.

  • 2016

    Opening of the Watford depot.

    Solo launched.

  • 2017

    Opening of three new depots.

  • 2018

    Opening of Castleford Depot.

    Introduction of premium time slots.

  • 2019

    Onboarding of Amazon and Decathlon.

  • 2020

    Launch of next day service to Northern Ireland

    Panther acquired by AIT

    Colin McCarthy retires

    Gary McKelvey appointed managing director

    Sky announce Panther as sole 2-person home delivery partner

    Taunton depot closes
